Thank you for purchasing a BSH TSI Race Intake Kit. The kit should include the following components.

Please make sure they are all in the box before continuing. If you bought any additional upgrades their specific parts list
will be included separately. Required tools are not included.

This kit should only be installed by a professional. This guide is only meant as an outline and is not intended to teach a
novice how to do the job. If you are unsure of your ability stop and take your car to a professional.

NOTES: THE FILTER INCLUDED IN THIS KIT IS RE- USEABLE. IT CAN BE ClEANED AND RECHARGED USING A KIT THAT YOU CAN BUY AT LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORES. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER OIL THE FILTER WHEN RECHARGING , A LIGHT COAT IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED.

THIS INSTALLATION REQUIRES THE REMOVAL OF THE BATTERY. WHEN YOU RESTART THE CAR A FEW INDICATORS WILL BE ON THE DASH AND THE ONE TOUCH WINDOWS WILL NOT WORK RIGHT AWAY. ONCE YOU DRIVE A FEW FEET THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WILL GO AWAY. ROLL TH E WIN DOWS UP AND DOWN A FEW TIMES AND TH E ONE TOUC H FUNCTION WILL RESUME WORKING.

1) DISCONNECT MAF SENSOR PLUG, AND TAKE OFF FACTORY HOSE LAMP BY SQUEEZING AS REMOVING.

REMOVE THE LID TO THE FACTORY RAM AIR Box VIA TAB. REMOVE 10MM BOLT HOLDING THE AIRBOX DOWN . REMOVE AIRBOX BY PULLING UP AND TWISTING OUT.

3) REMOVE TWO T25 TORX BOLTS HOLDING DOWN THE RAM AIR BOX . THEY ARE LOCATED ONE ON EACH SIDE. YOUR ENGINE BAY SHOULD LOOK LIKE BELOW.

4) REMOVE THE FACTORY BY REMOVING THE BOLT HOLDING TO THE HEATSHIELD, DISCONNECTING FACTORY PCV HOSE, AND REMOVING FACTORY HOSE CLAMP.

REMOVE THE BATTERY TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE WIRING. START BY REMOVING THE LID OF THE BATTERY BOX AND WORK YOUR WAY AROUND. THE BATTERY BOX CLIPS TOGETHER WITH NO BOLTS OR SCREWS. FIRST REMOVE THE LID , THEN THE FRONT COVER, THEN THE BATTERY ITSELF, AND THEN THE REAR COVER. THE TERMINALS ARE 10MM AND THE BATTERY TIE DOWN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BATTERY IS A 13MM .

6) WITH THE BATTERY REMOVED TRACE BACK THE WIRING FOR THE MAF SENSOR. You WILL SEE THAT IT MERGES INTO A GROUP OF WIRES THAT ARE TAPED TOGETHER. CAREFULLY CUT OPEN THE TAPE THAT IS HOLDING THE WIRES TOGETHER. USE CAUTION TO NOT CUT ANY OF THE WIRES OR YOURSELF. SEPARATE THE MAF WIRING FROM THE REST OF THE WIRES. TAPE UP ALL THE WIRES.

PG 4 OF 4 REASSEMBLE BATTERY AND Box . INSTALL TRUESEAL AIRBOX USING 10MM BOLT . PLACE TRIMLOCK AROUND AIRBOX.

9) INSTALL SILICONE HOSE TO TURBO INLET WITH CLAMP .

10) REINSTALL PCV HOSE ON RACE INTAKE PIPE. INSTALL RACE INTAKE PIPE IN TO SILICONE HOSE AND TIGHTEN DOWN USING THE CLAMP PROVIDED.

11) REMOVE MAF SENSOR FROM FACTORY HOSE AND INSTALL ON RACE INTAKE PIPE. YOUR MAF SENSOR WIRING SHOULD NOW BE ABLE TO REACH THIS LOCATION.

12) INSTALL FILTER AND TIGHTEN DOWN WITH THE CLAMP PROVIDED.
